My path into digital media and marketing began in an unexpected way while training at Premier Martial Arts, where I was working toward earning my second-degree black belt. During that time, I became a lead instructor, gaining experience in leadership, communication, and connecting with diverse audiences. That role sparked my interest in how messaging and engagement work beyond the mat, which eventually led me to become an Integrated Strategic Communications intern with Premier. In that position, I transitioned into managing social media, creating content, and learning firsthand how strategic storytelling drives brand growth.

I went on to study Integrated Strategic Communications at the University of Kentucky, where I refined my creative and strategic skills. Today, I work at the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), producing digital content and managing social media initiatives that help students and families navigate college access and financial aid. Each step of my journey, from martial arts instruction to digital marketing, has shaped how I approach my work, reinforcing my belief that strong communication, creativity, and purpose are the foundation of impactful content.
